Im so excited to continue leading Childrens Church once a month at the Alliance! I wanted to share a few details, especially for families who are new this year.
We started Childrens Church last year to serve both kids and parents during service time. We know it can be hard for young children to sit through an entire service, so our goal is to provide an enriching time of Biblical teaching, worship, and fellowship for kids while parents enjoy a more distraction-free service upstairs. :)
Ideally, we'd love to offer Children's Church more than once a month, but that depends on having enough volunteers. If you or someone you know might be interested in serving in this ministry, please let me or Tama know.
Who leads it? I lead once a month, with Carly Mohr assisting.
Who is it for? Childrens Church is for students in K2.
When is it offered? This fall, well meet on the last Sunday of each month. Our fall dates are:
What happens during Childrens Church?
During our time together, the kids enjoy a mix of worship, learning, and fun activities. Here are some of the things we do:
One final note: We are especially excited to welcome our new Kindergarteners into K4 Sunday School and Childrens Church this year! Its been such a joy to see how much the children are learning about the Bible. Personally, Ive been so encouraged by the Sunday School hour - watching my own kids grow in Biblical knowledge, build friendships, and memorize Scripture has been such a blessing.
We cant wait to kick off another year of ministry and to walk alongside your children as they grow in their love for God!
