DESCRIPTION:Im so excited to continue leading Childrens Church once a month
at the Alliance! I wanted to share a few details\, especially for familie
s who are new this year.\nWe started Childrens Church last year to serve b
oth kids and parents during service time. We know it can be hard for young
children to sit through an entire service\, so our goal is to provide an
enriching time of Biblical teaching\, worship\, and fellowship for kids wh
ile parents enjoy a more distraction-free service upstairs. :)\nIdeally\,
we'd love to offer Children's Church more than once a month\, but that dep
ends on having enough volunteers. If you or someone you know might be inte
rested in serving in this ministry\, please let me or Tama know. \nWho lea
ds it? I lead once a month\, with Carly Mohr assisting.\nWho is it for? Ch
ildrens Church is for students in K2.\nWhen is it offered? This fall\, wel
l meet on the last Sunday of each month. Our fall dates are:\n\nOctober 26
 \nNovember 30\nDecember 28\n\nWhat happens during Childrens Church?\nDurin
g our time together\, the kids enjoy a mix of worship\, learning\, and fun
activities. Here are some of the things we do:\n\nSing songs together\nRe
visit the Sunday School Bible story\nPlay a game to review what we learned
in Sunday School\nDo a craft or activity connected to the lesson\nPractic
e explaining the gospel message\nPray for each other and for Alliance miss
ionaries\n\nOne final note: We are especially excited to welcome our new K
indergarteners into K4 Sunday School and Childrens Church this year! Its b
een such a joy to see how much the children are learning about the Bible.
Personally\, Ive been so encouraged by the Sunday School hour - watching m
y own kids grow in Biblical knowledge\, build friendships\, and memorize S
cripture has been such a blessing. \nWe cant wait to kick off another yea
r of ministry and to walk alongside your children as they grow in their lo
 ve for God!\nJen
