Go! Team Opportunities
Go Serve Him in Ministry and in Mission
GO! Teams provide opportunities for YOU to serve our church and be a witness in our community. Below are several opportunities to consider:
Commitment: 1x per month
We have an urgent need for nursery workers! This important ministry will not only show the love of Christ for our littlest ones, but also allow parents to participate in Adult Sunday School or Worship Service uninterrupted. Your willingness to serve in this way will be GREATLY appreciated! If you are interested to serve, please contact Joy Suter or Cindy Kidd OR email the church office.
Commitment: 1x per month
We are looking for workers willing to serve during the morning Worship Service! This important ministry will not only show the love of Christ for our toddlers, but also allow parents to participate in the Worship Service uninterrupted. Your willingness to serve in this way will be GREATLY appreciated! If you are interested to serve, please contact Nikki Lewis OR contact the church office.
Commitment: 1x to 2x per month
We currently have a need for Men to join the ranks of the Usher’s at the Alliance Church. This is a ministry that is more than just being door guards, Usher’s are the second line of greeting that someone experiences in their first time visiting our church. They also help to make sure everyone is seated, comfortable, and safe before, during, and after the service. We also have a need to staff the handicap entrance with one of the men from the Usher team from 9:50am-10:20am. If you cannot commit to Ushering for a full Sunday, but could commit to that time frame, we would be most grateful for you service. If you feel led to serve in either of these capacities, please contact Rob Bustin OR email the church office.
There seem to be plenty of small projects to do around the church ranging from painting to small maintenance projects to gardening to "deep" cleaning, etc. If you have some skills and some extra time during the week, please contact our Head Trustee Chris Dellinger OR email the church office for a list of possible projects you may help with.
Ministry to Widows/Single Moms/Shut Ins
Do you have a heart to help those who in need? Our Deacons have been charged with assisting those within our congregation who may especially need such physical assistance as snow removal, lawn mowing, small house projects, moving furniture, etc. If you are interested to help in these ways, contact our Head Deacon, Norm Smith OR email the church office.
As a church, we seek to help those within our congregation whenever they are moving. This is a big job and usually required a lot of hands! If you enjoy helping people in a very practical way at a time when they need it, this may be for you! If you are interested, contact our Head Deacon, Norm Smith OR email the church office.
English as a Second Language (ESL)
Commitment: Occasional to Weekly
There are all sorts of ways that you may be involved with this "missions at home" opportunity! You may want to be a greeter, bring a snack, be a prayer partner, provide transportation, and more! You may also want to be trained to actually teach ESL. If you are interested for more information, contact Kara Werner OR email the church office.
Commitment: 1x per month
One of the practical realities of collecting funds on a weekly basis is that someone has to count them! In the interest of being above reproach, we always have 2-3 counters per Sunday counting the morning offering. If you would be willing to help with this important "behind-the-scenes" ministry, please contact our Head Treasurer Kim Harr OR email our church office.
If you can drive (and have some time available), this may be a perfect ministry for you! We have some wonderful people in our church who for some reasons simply cannot drive at this time. Your willingness to take them to the store or a doctor's appointment would be most appreciated! If you are interested to help in this way contact Joy Suter OR email our church office.
There are seasons in our lives when even cooking supper may seem impossible. What a blessing you will be to that family who could use a hot meal right now but due to life's circumstances would find it a burden to do so. If you are interested to help in this way, please contact Kathy Smith OR email our church office.
Commitment: 1x-2x per month
Do you love to sing? Do you play a musical instrument? Do you have experience in sound engineering or would like to learn? Then consider joining the worship team! If you are interested to know more, contact our Worship Ministries Director. Ben Zentner.
Greeter--Front Door and Welcome Desk
Commitment: 1 month at a time, 1x-4x per year
How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, "Your God reigns!"
We are in need of front door and welcome desk greeters for Sunday Mornings. The commitment would be one month at a time - once a year or more. The following opportunities are available:
Front Door Greeters: 8:45 AM – 9:05 AM prior to the Sunday school session and 10:30 – 10:50 prior to our morning worship service.
Welcome Desk Greeters: 10:30 – 10:50 AM and 10 minutes after morning worship service ends.
Would you like to be a part of this exciting opportunity to greet and welcome our church family and visitors as they come to worship the Lord? We are in need of additional greeters to ensure everyone who enters our church feels at home and a part of our family. It is a VERY important ministry as we seek to grow closer as a family seeking the Lord in all things.
If you are interested or even just curious, feel free to contact Sandy Leyh or Judi Good OR email the church office and we would gladly “WELCOME” you to the “WELCOME” Team!!
